Applicant Information

Why an Internship?

  • Enhance your resume or university application with your experience at top research centers or prestigious Silicon Valley companies.
  • Earn a learning stipend and college credit in your major for your internship.
  • Work on assignments that complement your course work and challenge your initiative and creativity.
  • Increase your confidence and competence through hands-on experience in a chosen major or field of interest.
  • Expand your knowledge of career options and network with professionals in your field.

How to Qualify:

  • Earn a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Commit to length of internship. (Most internships are 12 months. Some companies offer 6-month opportunities.
  • Work 20 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the Summer. (No evening or weekend work is available.)
  • Enroll at a community college during the internship year. Enrollment prior to applying is advised.
  • Meet specific internship requirements that ask for additional qualifications, specific courses, U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.

How to Apply:

  • Download an application; e-mail, fax or mail the completed application by deadline.
  • Selected candidates will be invited for interviews with prospective internship supervisors.

An internship is considered part of a student's total educational process. It is not intended to be a primary source of income for students nor an apprenticeship or hiring program for any of our internship sponsors.

Racial/ethnic minorities, women, physically handicapped persons and veterans are all encouraged to apply for the available internships.
